Black Owned Business

Who Am I

Hey guys I’m Tonya & I am a 37 years old Israelite studying to become a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I earned my Associates in Applied Science with a degree in both Business Management & General Business in 2015.

I have struggled with my weight since high school. My weight has always fluctuated since I can remember. I have never had the body I always felt I deserved. For almost 2 decades I have lost & gained the same 50 lbs & at only 5 ft 1 inch reached my highest weight of 186 lbs this year after having my son. I had become extremely passionate about health & weight loss over the past few years. And in 2019 I had finally gotten close to reaching my goal weight of 135 lbs before I gotten pregnant with my fourth little one. After dealing with a high risk pregnancy because of high blood pressure the last trimester I ended up gaining all the weight back I lost & I am once again, had to start completely over.

I was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 2002 when I was pregnant with my twin boys, so I know a thing or two about exercise, discipline & hard work. But it was during my last pregnancy when I realized my purpose in helping others with the same struggles I have & am still dealing with. I just want to be comfortable in my own skin, look nice in whatever I decided to wear & not be tired all day long. I know there are others out there that feel the same way.

My family has a long history of obesity, diabetes & other health conditions due to being overweight & unhealthy eating habits. In December of 2019 I found my calling & started researching how to become a personal trainer & in January of 2020 I decided it was time I put in the work to get my certification. In March of 2020, I was induced 10 days earlier than my due date because of complications & blood restriction to the placenta from my high blood pressure. And by the grace of our Creator, my baby boy was born on March 12, 2020 right before the Coronavirus pandemic shut everything down. I then took a few months off my studies to focus on my newborn.

Now it’s time for me to continue my journey in starting my own business, becoming a certified personal trainer & to also get back to a fit & healthier version of myself & help others do the same. I’m just a determined woman working on building a new life for myself & my children while trying to get into shape after having a new baby after a 12 year gap from my third child!

I began wearing waist beads in September 2020 as a tool to help me see my progress when my scale was not moving & I was becoming discouraged. I purchased my 1st three strands from a Facebook referral. And after only a few weeks I noticed my beads starting to drop! Once they fell from my upper torso to my hips I was ready for more! I went back to the same lady who did my beads the first time but she had stop making them. A light bulb went off in my head “I can just make my own”. Once I learned how to make them myself & did a little research, I decided to use my talents to incorporate them in my program.

You are not alone. Weight loss is not easy. Let’s help & motivate one another to live a long healthy life.

Let’s get moving!

Much Love Majxsty
